Norway rat

The Norway rat is a mammal of the rodent order. It is the most common rat found in both urban and rural areas of Quebec. Its physical and mental abilities are remarkable. Its basic needs are food, shelter, and water. Rats enter buildings in search of protection and sources of food. Once inside, they can move very easily from one room, unit, or apartment to another. In urban environments, rats most often gain access to buildings through the sewer system.
